About The Houston-Galveston Area Local Development Corporation

Founded in the early 1980’s by the Houston-Galveston Area Council, the Houston-Galveston Area Local Development Corporation is licensed throughout Texas as an SBA 504 Loan Program certified development company (CDC). We support economic development through low-cost, fixed rate commercial/industrial real estate, working capital and equipment financing to new, existing and expanding small businesses.

The Houston-Galveston Area Council through its Local Development Corporation is committed to treating all applicants and borrowers fairly, consistently and equitably in all eligibility determination, credit analysis, lending and servicing practices while complying with all applicable fair lending laws and regulations.
